A Rochester man is dead after being shot in the torso Saturday evening on Sidney Street. Another man has been charged with second degree murder.

Rochester Police say 26-year-old Willie Curry was found by police responding to a report of a shooting. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after. The department’s Crime Analysis Center developed information on possible suspects, and within an hour of the shooting police had several persons of interest in custody.

They say an altercation started with a dispute between drivers on Sidney Street. During that dispute, police say Theotis Davis fired a gun and Curry, killing him.

Additional charges may be coming.
