Police responded to the corner of Lyell and Saratoga Avenues Thursday evening for a report of a man shot, but found friends had already taken him to the hospital.
The victim was a 32-year-old suburban man who was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he is being treated and is expected to recover. The investigation is continuing and no arrest has been made yet.
