Rochester police say a man was shot in a home on Austin St. on the city’s West Side.
The incident happened about 10:00 Thursday night. The 38-year-old man was inside a locked residence by himself when he was shot. Police forced entry and got the victim to Strong Memorial Hospital suffering from a gunshot to the upper body. He’s in critical but stable condition.
The circumstances are under investigation, but police say the house was vacant and someone may have fired into the house, hitting the victim.
