Police say a Rochester man in his 30s was found shot to death in a car at around 12:30 near the corner of North Clinton Avenue and Mazda Terrace. Police say the car was targeted.
Police say an officer actually heard the shots and ran to the scene. So did the dead man’s mother and brother, who had to be held back to protect the crime scene. Other family members quickly arrived, and Captain Korey Brown says police called in Pathways to Peace and Clergy on Patrol to help support them and keep them informed.
A woman driving the car was hit in the leg and taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. Police say she’s in her 20s.
A shooting at that same intersection claimed the life of a 32-year-old man in March.
