A Gates man is dead after being run over by a school bus on Thursday morning
Rochester Police say 73-year-old Michael Rivoly was crossing Fisher Street near Lexington Avenue on the West Side when he was struck by one of a group of buses pulling out from Ontario Bus Company to begin their morning runs. Rivoly was an employee of Ontario Bus. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver who struck him was apparently unaware and returned to the company facility after being stopped by police in Greece. He cooperated with police, who say his name is not being released because the case has been referred to the District Attorney’s Office. It may go to a grand jury.
