A Rochester man switched his plea during his murder trial Friday, admitting that he killed another man with a sword.
Police found 64-year-old Jerry Mawson dead back in October at his home on Mt. Hope Avenue. They eventually arrested 44-year-old Derrick Bovee for murder. Bovee was being tried this week when he changed his plea and admitted to the crime.
Bovee now faces 15-years-to-life in prison when he’s sentenced on May 22nd in State Supreme Court.
