A man who police say brutally killed his girlfriend inside a Rochester apartment last December, has been found guilty.
The Monroe Co. DA’s office says a jury found 50-year-old Elwell McPhail guilty on Friday of second degree murder in the death of Syreeta Knight. Prosecutors say on December 8th 2017, McPhail beat Knight to death with a crowbar while she was sleeping inside her apartment on Bernard Street.
McPhail will be sentenced in July.
