Rochester Police are investigating after two people were shot Tuesday night in Rochester.
The first victim went to Strong Memorial Hospital in critical condition after an apparent drive-by shooting at 69 Hazelwood Terrace.
Police say the 23-year-old victim was shot at about 8:30 p.m. Officers responded for a report of gunfire and found the victim sitting in the passenger seat of a car. He’d been shot a number of times in the upper body.
The second shooting came to light while police were responding to a car that crashed in flames on South Avenue. While that incident was being dealt with, a car drove up to a Rural Metro Ambulance at the scene and a man asked for help with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Police say they believe the man was shot on Joseph Avenue. He was also taken to Strong Hospital.
