A North Carolina man has been charged by Greece Police with reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal mischief for the New Year’s gunfire incident on Arcadia Parkway.
They say Ratna Rai was in Rochester visiting family for New Year’s when he started firing his pistol in the front yard of the home where he was staying. In all, police recovered 168 shell casings, with one round hitting an occupied bedroom of a nearby house.
Sgt Jared Rene says police were able to zoom in on the house quickly, evacuate the house and determine which one was the suspect.
Rai was released on an appearance ticket.
