The man Brockport Police say hit one of their officers with his car while trying to get away from a traffic stop has been arraigned on charges including Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, DWI and Unlawful Flight among others.
Police say 25-year-old Brandon Antram is being held on $6,000 bail after an incident early Sunday morning. He was pulled over on Main Street in the village and the officer saw an open alcoholic beverage container on the passenger seat. They say Antram made to reach for his registration, but instead banged the car into gear and sped off. As he swung the car around, hit shoved the officer who fortunately wasn’t hurt.
Antram sped through the parking lot of SUNY Brockport’s Tower Fine Arts Center, but crashed into a tree and wrecked his car. Officers caught him after a brief foot chase.
