The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Rochester man with threatening Monroe County Executive Adam Bello.

They say 34-year-old Raymond Girard of Hudson Avenue made repeated calls to the County Office Building, leaving a series of increasingly agitated messages. He called again on January 4th, identifying himself and making direct threats to Bello and other county employees.

Deputies investigating the calls found posted video of Girard pointing a gun at someone, increasing their concern for public safety.

Deputies arrested Girard on Sunday at the home where he lived with his girlfriend and two children. He was charged with making a terroristic threat, aggravated harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.

New York State Police also searched Girard’s home, charging him with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property.

Girard faces a further federal charge for being in possession of ammunition while a convicted felon.
