A Farmington man has been arrested by Canandaigua police after he allegedly burglarized a Canandaigua home, stole a car when confronted by the homeowner and fled.
31-year-old Sean Harloff is also accused by Monroe, Genesee and Ontario County authorities of committing similar crimes in their jurisdictions, stealing cars, only to dump them and steal another.
Harloff was spotted driving a stolen car by Irondequoit police, leading them on a chase through the City of Rochester and out to Bay Road in Webster before he was arrested. He was charged with burglary, grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, plus reckless driving and escape.
Canandaigua police have charged with with burglary and grand larceny as well. He remains in the Monroe County Jail while authorities in the three counties investigate other crimes linked to him.
