Macedon Police Chief Fabian Rivera is on unpaid leave following an incident at Flaherty’s Three Flags Inn earlier this month.

The Times of Wayne County says Rivera was publicly drunk at the restaurant when Wayne County Deputies were called in on December 10th. Rivera fell several times and cut his face, but refused to leave and allegedly threatened restaurant staff who tried to get him out.

Rivera was eventually taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was treated for a head injury. He told officials he’s suffering from PTSD.
