The second season of MASL 2 is set to kick off on Dec. 1.
The Major Arena Soccer League 2 (M2) has announced the 2018-19 Eastern Division Schedule as its second season begins this upcoming December. The Mountain Division schedule was announced earlier and the Pacific Division will be the final division to be announced next week.
The Eastern Division will feature 5 teams including defending 2017-18 Inaugural M2 Cup Champion, the Chicago Mustangs. Rounding out the East is the Cincinnati Swerve, Detroit Waza Flo, Muskegon Risers, and Rochester Lancers.
Opening Night will be Saturday, Dec. 1, as the Cincinnati Swerve host the Chicago Mustangs at Gametime Arena with kickoff at 8:05 pm Eastern Time.
Rochester will be the last Eastern Division Team to start their M2 season after a 3-year absence from the indoor scene. Lancers Fans will have to wait just a little bit longer to see the home team in action on Friday, Jan. 4, at the Dome Arena as they host Detroit at 7 pm.
Each team will play 6 games at home and 6 away, with all games in regular season within their own division. The M2 playoff format will be announced shortly after the final Pacific Division schedule is released next week.
The regular season will end on Sunday, March 9, with Rochester hosting Muskegon and Chicago visiting Cincinnati. For more information, or to view the entire schedule, go to m2soccer.com
ABOUT THE MAJOR ARENA SOCCER LEAGUE 2 (M2)
The MASL 2 was formed in 2017 and will serve as the official developmental league of the Major Arena Soccer League. The M2 and MASL represent the highest level of arena soccer in the world, and combined feature 32 teams across North America, with teams playing coast-to-coast in the United States, Mexico and Canada (Toronto to begin play in 2018).
