The man accused of causing the death of a 14-year-old girl while driving drunk has pleaded “not guilty” to new charges of vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter.

Those are in addition to earlier charges of vehicular assault and DWI handed down by a Monroe County Grand Jury.

Prosecutors say illegal immigrant Efrain Lopez-Contreras was drunk when he crashed into Pastor Tony Bartolucci’s car on a road in Clarkson on Christmas Eve.  Giana Bartolucci died six months later following surgery at the hospital.

Lopez-Contreras had been deported from the United States after a 2010 conviction for DWI in Orleans County. He’ll go on trial January 9th and is facing up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
