A fire in a west side house damaged the building but there were no injuries reported to either the occupants or to firefighters.
The Rochester Fire Department says it was called to 18 Locust Street shortly before 9:00 Wednesday night for a report of a fire in a wall. Four minutes later when they arrived, fire was showing from the second floor of the house. The last person was just exiting the building as they arrived.
Fire damage was limited to the top two floors, with water damage to the first floor. The Red Cross was helping one person with temporary housing.
