A Livingston County man ended up in jail after a deputy on patrol spotted a pickup truck in a ditch alongside Coffee Hill Road in West Sparta.
She located the driver of the truck, who had left the scene, and determined he was drunk. Fifty-year-old Shawn Norman of Mount Morris had also taken the truck without the owner’s permission. His license had also been suspended 11 times.
Norman has been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation and more.
