A man who fled the state after Livingston County Authorities began investigating him for welfare fraud has been arrested after returning to the area.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says 53-year-old Anthony Cassata was arrested by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office with the help of Gates and Rochester Police, and turned over to Livingston County authorities. He’s being held on $25,000 bail.
Cassata had been arrested in 2015 for grand larceny, but fled the state before his case was resolved.
