A Livingston County man has pleaded guilty to child pornography and rape charges in both Livingston County and federal courts.
The U.S. Attorney’s office says Calvin Patrick of Mount Morris was accused of receipt of child pornagraphy. Federal prosecutors say in the fall of 2015, Patrick used the app “Kik” to get a 14 year old girl in Florida and an 11 year old girl in Pennsylvania to send him sexually explicit photos of themselves.
The 35-year-old was previously convicted of child porn possession in 2008, so he now faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison, but he could spend up to 40 years behind bars.
Livingston County District Attorney Greg McCaffrey says Patrick was also in county court Thursday morning, where he pleaded guilty to 1st degree attempted rape. He was charged with keeping a woman as a sex slave for about 6 months in 2015.
