The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says an inmate at the county jail has been charged with promoting prison contraband after she was caught smuggling Xanax into the jail.
Sheriff Tom Dougherty says deputies received information about the smuggling and searched a weekend inmate, 41-year-old Stephanie Disalvo. They found the drugs hidden in her clothing.
Disalvo was serving eight months of weekends. She’s now being held on $2,500 bail pending a court appearance.
