Photo published for Deputies: Burglar arrested after returning to scene of the crimeA Bloomfield man has been charged with burglary and petit larceny after a Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputy caught him red handed.

The sheriff’s office says 29-year-old Jabin Hutton was arrested after deputies were called to Lima where an air compressor, chainsaws and other tools had been stolen from a barn.

A deputy began canvassing the neighborhood, and he spotted Hutton running down a neighbor’s driveway. When deputies decided Hutton’s explanation for being there didn’t add up, they searched the area and found a black duffel bag hidden in behind some nearby trees. It contained items including gloves, binoculars, zip ties and hypodermic needles.

Deputies learned Hutton had committed the burglary and was back looking for more things to steal. Some of the stolen property was recovered, and Hutton is being held on bail.
