The producers of Rochester’s Lilac Festival say it will go on, despite the coronavirus pandemic. They say they’ve sent proposals to the City of Rochester, Monroe County and the State as to how they can hold the festival safely.

The producers say a “reimagining” of the festival is underway to make sure each part of it matches with the pandemic health and safety regulations.

Last year’s festival was canceled, and the producers haven’t said what the “reimagined” festival might be like.
