After taking a gap year in 2020 for the pandemic, Rochester’s Lilac Festival will be back for 2021.
The festival will be back in a different form, on three weekends in May beginning the weekend of May 7-9. Some features won’t be back, but others will, including wine and beer expos. A mini farmers market will be added near the purple crosswalk and the festival tent will be back. Tickets will have to be purchased in advance for the festival tent performances.
Some live music events will be returning, with acts to be announced.
County Executive Adam Bello said at a news conference that the Rochester community needs a win, and the 123rd Lilac Festival brings that opportunity.
