A LeRoy Town Justice has resigned his post following an investigation by the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct. John Duyssen left office on July 8th. He has agreed not to seek judicial office again.
Duyysen had been a judge in LeRoy Town Court since 2018. In January, the commission said it was investigating charges from his arrest on a child endangerment and harassment complaint.
He was ordered to surrender his guns and an order of protection was placed on him, but he refused to comply with the court order.
