BUFFALO, N.Y. — Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Ferdrik Andersen recorded 42 saves in leading the visitors fromNorth of the Border to a 2-1 victory on Thursday night at the KeyBank Center.
Marcus Foligno scored the Buffalo in the second period off assist from Johan Larsson and Sam Reinhart.
Sabres netminder Robin Lehner registered 27 saves.
Mitchell Marner netted both goals for the Leafs as they took a 2-0 lead.
Ryan O’Reilly paced Buffalo with 7 shots on goal as Matt Moulson added 5, and Foligno, Zemgus Girgensons, and Tyler Ennis contributed 4 apiece.
Buffalo travels to Ottawa for a game against the Senators on Saturday night.
