Lawyers representing the 16 women who have filed an EEOC complaint against the University of Rochester are rebutting the “independent investigation” report which found the university did nothing wrong in its handling of their complaints.
Former U.S. Attorney Mary Jo White and her law firm, Debevoise and Plimpton, were hired to investigate how the complaints against Professor Florian Jaeger were handled. But the lawyers for the plaintiffs say the UR paid $4.5 million for that report, so it’s hardly impartial. The results released last month said neither Jaeger nor the university broke any laws or university rules.
The lawyer for the plaintiffs says the university got the investigation it paid for.
