A judge has ruled that Laura Rideout and her two sons, who stand accused of evidence tampering, may not travel outside of Monroe, Wayne and Ontario Counties for the next 30 days.
Rideout was in court today with her sons Colin and Alex. Identical restrictions were placed on them. Prosecutors argued that moving vans and dumpsters were seen at their home after all three were arrested.
They’re charged with trying to clean up evidence including blood in the basement of her estranged husband’s town home. Rideout’s boyfriend, Paul Tucci, has been similarly charged in connection with Craig Rideout’s death.
Court papers say he was strangled by a cord around his neck in that basement
Nobody has been charged yet with causing Craig Rideout’s death, but the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office says the entire case is being laid before a grand jury.
DA Sandra Doorley said today they’re waiting for results on some key pieces of evidence before moving forward. She says they are moving towards the goal of a homicide prosecution.
