The Rochester scores first but has to settle for a 1-1 draw with NY Red Bulls 2.

The Rochester Rhinos took a 1-0 lead over the Red Bulls on a goal by Asani Samuels in the first minute of play. The goal ended a streak of 687 minutes where NY had not trailed in USL play.

The Rhinos held the advantage all the way until the 89th minute when the Red Bulls knotted the count on a free kick.

Rochester (11-5-12) tied Charlotte for fourth place in the USL standings with 45 points, but the Independence has 2 games in hand over the Rhinos.

New York (19-3-6) lead the league with 63 points.
