ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Matt Perrella brings multiple years experience to add to the Rochester Lancers depth at the goalkeepers position this season. Per league and team policies, no further terms of the agreement were disclosed.

“One of the most important positions in the indoor game is having a great goalkeeper who is good with their feet,” said head coach, Doug Miller. “The Lancers signing Matt Perrella gives exactly that and I am extremely excited to welcome Matt to the Lancers family. I believe he will be a fan favorite who will excite everyone involved but most importantly make us more competitive.”

Born and raised in Belleville, N.J., Perrella has had an extensive soccer career thus far. He played four years of collegiate soccer at Rider University, a D1 school. He then went on to receive his Masters deegree in England where he also had the chance to play professionally.

When Perrella moved back to the US, he spent time with the Carolina Railhawks of the USL. Most recently Perrella has played for the Harrisburg Heat and Utica City FC, both of the MASL.
