MUSKEGON, MI. — Jake Schindler paced the Rochester Lancers to a 17-4 victory over the Muskegon Risers on Friday night as the Irondequoit native recorded a hat trick. He also added 1 assist for a 4-point game.
The Lancers tallied the first 3 goals of the contest in the first quarter. The hosts answered with 1 goal in the final minute of the period as the game remained 3-1 at halftime.
The Lancers erupted for 8 goals in the third stanza to take control of the match.
Boomer Steigleman, Luis Hidalgo Enrique, and Anthony Rozzano each contributed 2 goals as August Finn, Jayme Kapinos, Gary Boughton, and Timothy Lazorko added 1 apiece.
Steigleman also collected 3 assists to pace the Lancers with 5 points.
The Lancers (6-3) continue their road trip against the Eastern Division first place Chicago Mustangs (8-1) Saturday night.
