Rochester falls to Utica City to conclude the 3-in-3 weekend.

UTICA, N.Y. — The Rochester Lancers closed out their busiest weekend of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) with a 7-2 loss to Utica City FC Sunday afternoon before 3,502 fans at the Adirondack Bank Center.

Irondequoit native, and former Lancer, Jake Schindler opened the scoring for Utica 4 minutes into the first quarter.

Zikret Osmic tied it for the Lancers about 4 minutes later.

However, Christian Segura tallied the first goal of his hat trick to put the hosts in front to stay.

Anthony Rozzano, who assisted on Rochester’s first goal, scored in the second quarter that cut the deficit to 3-2. He ended with a team-high 4 shots on goal.

Hilton High and Nazareth College graduate Brian Wilkin played another strong game in goal for the Lancers as he finished with 9 saves.

The Lancers (0-19) travel to Baltimore for a game Saturday against the Blast.
Rochester returns to the Dome Arena for 2 games, March 6 and 7, against the Florida Tropics and Kansas City Comets, respectively. Both games start at 7 pm.
