The suspended playoff game will be completed tonight in Erie, PA.

ANN ARBOR, MI. — The NPSL Rochester Lancers traveled to Ann Arbor, MI., on Tuesday to play AFC Ann Arbor. This was the Lancers first playoff game in 42 years and it ended in a 0-0 tie after approximately 69 minutes of play. The game had 2 weather delays and due to the stadium having no lights, there was no daylight left to play and the referees called the game.

The league decided that AFC Ann Arbor and the Rochester Lancers must finish the game at a neutral location to decide who moves on to the Regional Semifinals on Friday in Detroit.

Coach Doug Miller and the Lancers traveled today, Thursday, July 18 to Erie, PA., to meet AFC Ann Arbor at Gannon University to play the remaining minutes of the game tonight at 8:30 pm.

If tonight’s game remains tied after 90 minutes, the teams will play two 10-minute overtimes, and then penalty kicks, if needed. The winning team then will travel to Detroit immediately following the game to take on Cleveland SC in the Regional Semifinals Friday, July 19 at 4:30 pm.

With a win Thursday and Friday, the Lancers will clinch their spot in the Regional Finals on Sunday, July 21 at 1:30 pm in Detroit.
