EAST ROCHESTER, NY. — The Rochester Lancers made some major announcements regarding the return of the MASL2 Indoor/Arena Team at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon at IDE Volkswagen.
The Lancers ceased operations in 2015 because of the cost of Workmens Compensation in that league.
“We are in a new league and there are no issues with our insurance in the new league,” said Soccer Sam Fantauzzo.
Lancers, Inc is a NYS Non-Profit organization, operated by a volunteer staff to help the grow the game of soccer in the Monroe County Area.

The Lancers confirmed their home venue to be the Dome Arena in Henrietta. The Lancers are the first primary sports tenant in the Dome since its $10 million dollar renovation.
The home opener is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 4 at 7 PM. The remaining home dates have yet to be announced. There will be a total of 6 home and 6 away games in the league for the 2019 season.
Rochester’s Living Legend, Doug Miller, will be the head coach and President of Soccer Operations. Coaching staff to include GM Marc Mandell, Adam Schwartz, Rey “BoomBoom” Martinez, and John Berardicurti. Returning will be the entire prior game-day staff, including Lancers TV host Joe Giuliano, Kari Miller – coach of the Lancer Dancers, and mascot – Lancer Louie.
The Lancers also announced some highly anticipated returning Rochester Lancers indoor stars: Irondequoit native Jake Schindler, Gary Boughton, Jeremy Ortiz, Stephen Basso, Marcelo Moreira, Marc Sotile, Brad Vanino, Luis Enrique Hidalgo, and the Mohican Warrior – Elliot Fauske.
There also will be outdoor Rochester Lancers players who will be joining the indoor roster: Will Banahene, Peter DiLorenzo, Anthony Rozzano, August Finn, Austin Gerber, Wyatt Scott, David Wright, and the Medic: Isaac Kissi.
