Rochester loses in the Midwest semifinals in double overtime.
DETROIT, MI. — The NPSL Rochester Lancers fell to a tough Cleveland SC team on Friday afternoon in the Midwest Regional Semifinals.
Despite a crazy last few days of games and lots of travel, the Lancers gave it their all but ultimately came up short losing 6-4 in double overtime.
The Lancers came out strong taking an early 2-0 lead but Cleveland fought its way back and ultimately ended up on top.
Lancers goals were scored by Michael Cunningham, Rafa Godoi, Uros Momic, and Isaac Kissi.
Rochester is coached by Doug Miller.
Cleveland advances to the Midwest Regional Final on Sunday at 1:30 pm in Detroit.
It had been 42 years since the outdoor Lancers made a playoff.
