Irondequoit’s Jake Schindler leads Rochester with 4 points in the 7-1 triumph.

HENRIETTA, N.Y. — Irondequoit native Jake Schindler scored 1 goal and added 3 assists in leading the Rochester Lancers to a 7-1 victory over the Cincinnati Swerve on Saturday night at the Dome Arena.

The Lancers rebounded from a 10-6 loss Friday night to defending MASL 2 champion Chicago Mustangs as they tallied 4 goals in the opening quarter and were never threatened thereafter.

Schindler assisted on Domenico Vitale and Luis Hidalgo goals, then he scored for a 3-0 lead.

Jeremy Ortiz accounted for the 4th marker in the final minute of the quarter off an assist from Hidalgo.

Anthony Rozzano and Lubo Kosic added goals in the third stanza as Hidalgo finished of Rochester’s scoring with second goal of the contest on a power play in the fourth quarter.

Rochester improved to 4-2 on the season.

The Lancers final 2 home games are March 8 and 9.
