ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Lancers of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) are proud to announce two more top players to their 2019/2020 roster, Bryan Wolanski and Jake Reed (pending final league approval). Per league and team policies, no further terms of the agreement were disclosed.

“Brian is an Ohio product who has indoor soccer in his blood. He is eager to break into the Lancers organization and has a ton of upside.” said head coach Doug Miller. “Jake is a big strong defender who competes for everything. He will be a great addition to the Lancers.”

Bryan Wolanski, Midfield, #18

Born and raised in Cleveland, OHIO, the 25-year-old midfielder played club soccer for Cleveland F.C. He was a 4-time State-Cup Champion and a 4-time State Cup Runner-Up, 1-time Region II Champion and 1-time Region II Runner-Up. Wolanski also played ODP for Region II where he found success and was a 2-time International Selection getting to go to Italy and Costa Rica to play soccer. He took a pro contract in 2012-2012 for AGF Aarhus and played semi-pro soccer from 2013-2019 for Force Soccer Academy. For the past 6 years he has been training multiple times per week with Indoor Soccer Legend, Kia. Kia played for notable indoor teams such as Kansas City Comets, Tacoma Stars, Cleveland Crunch, and more. This is what he said about his time spent with Kia, “Hands down the best trainer I have ever been with. I would not be where I am right now without him. Even at 53, I still watch him embarrass players in their twenties.” Bryan enjoys coaching and developing youth players in his free time.

Jake Reed, Defense, #25

Born in Newton, N.J., he grew up in St. Mary’s, PA. The 27-year-old defender attended St. Mary’s High School where he was a 2-time Upper Allegheny Mountain League All-Star and had a total of 23 goals and 27 assists. He went on to attend Geneva College in 2011 and then Buffalo State from 2012-2014 where he had 2 goals and 3 assists. Reed has had one year preparing for indoor soccer as he spent the 2017-2018 season training with the Syracuse Silver Knights of the MASL. He spends his free time owning and directing a coaching and recruiting organization called Allegheny Football Club, where he services high school teams and players in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

The Lancers home opening weekend is Friday, Nov. 29 and Saturday, Nov. 30 at the New Dome Arena.
