The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Lakeshore
Flood Watch, which is in effect from Thursday evening through
Friday evening.
* LOCATIONS…Wayne, Northern Cayuga, Oswego, and Jefferson
counties.
* LAKE SHORE FLOODING…
* TIMING…From Thursday evening through Friday evening.
* IMPACTS…Lakeshore flooding impacts will increase along the
southeast and eastern shores of Lake Ontario with onshore winds
creating greater wave action and the potential for shoreline
erosion.
This means conditions are ripe for lakeshore flooding, but not that flooding is actually underway.
