A Lakeshore flood warning is in effect for all the Lake Ontario shoreline from Niagara through Oswego and Jefferson Counties.
With the lake at its record high level just short of 249 feet, the moderate northwest winds will bring waves crashing on shore and flood low-lying areas.
The International Lake Ontario St Lawrence River Board has increased the outflow from the lake twice this weekend. It’s now releasing 321,400 cubic feet per second through the Massena Dam. But the lake keeps rising.
