Eastman Kodak Company says it will hang onto its PROSPER inkjet printer business.

Kodak had been trying to market PROSPER to someone who wanted to buy and operate it as an independent business. Now the company says after a lengthy review, it’s decided to keep PROSPER as part of the Kodak product line.

CEO Jeff Clarke says one reason is that the product saw a 40 percent increase in sales for maintenance and support of PROSPER inkjet presses last year. Clarke says they believe Kodak’s Enterprise Inkjet Systems Division to be profitable this year, and PROSPER will be part of it.
