A new tab has appeared next to the promo of Kodak’s new Ektra Smartphone on the front page of Eastman Kodak’s web site. It reads “Buy it Now.”

After working in the Ektra and its support overseas, Kodak’s entry into the smartphone market in now on sale in the U.S. For $399.99 you can have, as Kodak puts it, “powerful imaging wherever life takes you.”

The phone is something closer to a camera that also goes online and makes phone calls, looking more like a classic Kodak camera from the lens side than the look of an iPhone or Android device.

Kodak CEO Jeff Clarke calls it the “camera-first smartphone,” and says it reimagines the camera as an always-on, connected device.
