The event will be held at the Pinnacle Athletic Campus in Victor.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — One day after hosting the Georgia Swarm in their preseason finale, Rochester Knighthawks players Brad Gillies, Kyle Jackson, and Mike Triolo will be back on the turf. The trio of Knighthawks will work with adaptive athletes at “Roll, Run and Shoot” on Sunday, Dec. 11 from noon to 2 p.m. at Pinnacle Athletic Campus in Victor.
“This is a really cool opportunity to be able to grow the game in this manner,” said Gillies. “Lacrosse is a game that can be enjoyed by everyone and being able to help prove that will be fun.”
The free lacrosse clinic is open to athletes of all ages and abilities. The two-hour session was made possible through the Knighthawks partnership with Breaking Barriers Lacrosse and SportsNet.
SportsNet is a collaboration of the Al Sigl Community of Agencies, CP Rochester, and Rochester Rehabilitation. The Knighthawks and SportsNet hosted their first lacrosse clinic in August, which featured Knighthawks staff and players as instructors.
Breaking Barriers Lacrosse is a group of parents, lacrosse coaches, adaptive P.E. teachers and advocates who are showing that growing the game through diversity does not always refer to age, sex, race or religion. They offer an alternative to those who are unable to play in mainstream lacrosse for WHATEVER reason.
