The Herb Fitch event will take place Thursday at Victor High School.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Knighthawks are partnering with the US Lacrosse Greater Rochester Chapter to support the annual Herb Fitch Senior All-Star Lacrosse Festival. The boys’ and girls’ all-star games will be held on Thursday, June 14 at Victor High School’s Corbit Field.
As part of the festival, Knighthawks players Brad Gillies and Luke Laszkiewicz will join area coaches to offer a free Future All-Stars Youth Clinic. The event, which is offered to boys and girls from kindergarten to sixth grade, will take place from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. All participants will receive a free pinnie, and be entered in a raffle to win prizes.
“Thursday will be another great opportunity to get out and support the Rochester lacrosse community,” said Gillies. “I am looking forward to teaching some new skills to the kids and, most importantly, having fun.”
Following the clinic, fans can watch some of the top male and female high school athletes in the area, with many committed to play Division I lacrosse. The girls’ All-Star Game will face off at 6 pm, while the boys’ contest will get underway at 8 pm.
Youth lacrosse players (12 and under) will receive free admission to the event. High school and college students are just $2, and adults are only $5. Fans can get autographs from their favorite high school players, and enjoy dinner and ice cream from local food trucks.
