Zac Reid played 2 games for the previous team in 2015.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Knighthawks General Manager and Vice President of Lacrosse Operations Dan Carey announced today that the team has signed Zac Reid to a one-year contract for the 2019-20 NLL season, pending league approval.

Reid, 30, returns to Rochester after beginning his NLL career with the previous Knighthawks franchise during the 2015 season, appearing in two games and collecting five loose balls. A native of Brantford, ONT., Reid posted his best season during the 2017 campaign when he set career-highs in all offensive categories, including goals (4), assists (5), points (9) and loose balls (80) while appearing in all but one game for the New England Black Wolves.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound transition man has amassed 19 points (7+12) and 191 loose balls in 53 career games with Rochester, New England, Buffalo, and Philadelphia while also adding one assist in four playoff contests.

Prior to turning pro, Reid played four seasons of collegiate lacrosse at Mercyhurst University, where he totaled 87 points (55+32) and was a 2013 All-ECAC First Team selection. As a senior, Reid tied an NCAA D2 record with seven goals in the semifinal game against Limestone, leading the Lakers to their second tournament finals appearance in three years. During the 2011 season, he helped the program to its first-ever DII championship.

A new era of Knighthawks lacrosse begins on Saturday, Nov. 30 when Rochester opens its inaugural NLL season against the Georgia Swarm at the Blue Cross Arena.
