The NLL Ironman record holder of 234 straight games will miss Saturday’s contest.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Knighthawks announced today that they have placed forward Dan Dawson on the hold out list for personal reasons. The Knighthawks’ alternate captain will miss the game on Saturday, Jan. 7, when Rochester hosts the New England Black Wolves.

 

 

Dawson, a 16-year pro, is one of the game’s most dynamic and decorated players. He currently owns the National Lacrosse League Ironman record of 234 straight games. The former league MVP is a six-time NLL All-Star and a seven-time NLL All-Pro selection. He won back-to-back Champion’s Cups with the Knighthawks from 2013-14, and captured Championship Game MVP honors in 2014.

He currently ranks fifth all-time in league history in assists (767) and points (1,218), and fifth in goals (451). In Knighthawks history, Dawson is fourth all-time in assists (242) and seventh in points (347).
