The NLL announces the draft and combine dates ahead of the 2018 season.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — For only the second time in 24 years, the Rochester Knighthawks will make three selections in the first round of the National Lacrosse League Entry Draft. The Knighthawks own the second, fifth, and sixth overall picks in the draft, which will be held on Monday, Sept. 18 at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) in Oakville, Ontario.
“It’s going to be another deep draft this year,” said Knighthawks head coach Mike Hasen. “The players who are available are quality ball players who have the possibility of being in our lineup. They will make us better and quicker right off the bat.”
The only other time in team history that the Knighthawks had three picks in the first round was in 2010. In that draft, Rochester selected Cody Jamieson first overall before picking Jarrett Davis (fifth) and Ryan McClelland (10th).
