Fans can buy packs for Play Like A Girl and Foam Darts.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Knighthawks announced that they are partnering with Play Like a Girl! (PLAG) on Saturday, April 21. The regular season home finale against the New England Black Wolves is set for 7:30 pm at Connors & Ferris Field at the Blue Cross Arena.
The Knighthawks are offering PLAG packs for just $20, which includes a T-shirt and a 100-end ticket. From each sale, the Knighthawks will donate $5 back to Play Like a Girl, which will be reinvested in girls’ sports in Rochester. Additional tickets can be purchased for $15.
“As a father of three daughters, I am very excited that the Knighthawks are partnering with Play Like a Girl and, in the process, supporting local girls’ sports in the Rochester area,” said Knighthawks VP of Sales John Catalano. “Play Like a Girl teaches girls and young women how to develop the courage to achieve success both on and off the field.”
“Partnership with the Rochester Knighthawks is so important to our work to get men to support their daughters in sports, not only because it’s the right thing to do, but because it’s great for them,” said Play Like a Girl Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kimberly Clay. “From stronger father-daughter relationships and healthier, happier girls to better outcomes on the turf and at school and the long-term impact on young women’s potential beyond the field of play, the benefits of men supporting women in sport is huge.”

About Play Like a Girl
Play Like a Girl is a national 501(c)3 charitable organization founded in 2004. Our mission is to ensure that every girl reaches her full potential by providing girls ages 9-13 an opportunity—and in many cases, their only chance—to participate in sport and physical activity. We offer programs and resources designed to transform girls’ motivation into an “I am unstoppable” attitude. It is our goal to help girls everywhere find the courage to do things beyond the field of play that they never thought possible. Because we believe girls given the opportunity to play on a team become women who have the confidence to stand on their own.
