Rochester native Jessica Dever takes over the Knightingales.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Knighthawks named Jessica Dever as their dance team coordinator on Thursday. “Jess” joins the Rochester Knightingales after 18 years of coaching high school cheerleading and five years co-coaching at the professional dance level.

“As a native of Rochester, I am a huge lacrosse fan,” she said. “I am beyond excited to be a part of the Knighthawks organization and am looking forward to building a talented dance team.”

Jess brings an extensive dance and teaching background to the Knightingales. Her resume includes coaching at the modified, freshman, JV and varsity levels. During her tenure at the high school level, she earned Section V Coach of the Year in 2009, sectional titles in 2009 and 2018, and a New York State title in 2018. In addition to her dance team coaching experience, she danced for five years with two local pro and semi-pro dance teams.

Jess is a graduate of St. John Fisher College, and is NY State Teacher Certified and holds a graduate degree in math, science, and technology education. She currently teaches first grade in the Rochester area.

“We are welcoming Jess to the Knighthawks family and look forward to working with her,” said Knighthawks VP of Sales John Catalano. “We are excited to see the new-look Knightingales on opening night.”
