Rochester will face its Thruway rival Buffalo Bandits that night at the Blue Cross Arena.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Knighthawks, in conjunction with the Veterans Outreach Center (VOC) and Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning, announced on Wednesday that the team will hold its third annual Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, March 25.
That night, the Knighthawks will honor our men and women in uniform when they host the Buffalo Bandits at 7:30 p.m. at Connors & Ferris Field at the Blue Cross Arena. All military members, veterans, and reservists are able to receive one complimentary ticket to the game.
“We’re thankful to be part of Military Appreciation Night and are honored to be in the presence of the brave men and women in our community,” said Ray Isaac, third-generation president of Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning. “We value their commitment, their sacrifice, and their service to our country.”
“We are truly appreciative for great community partners like the Rochester Knighthawks,” said Veterans Outreach Center Executive Director Todd Baxter. “Veterans Outreach Center engages daily with soldiers, sailors, and airmen who have made great sacrifices in serving our nation. It is a testament to the Knighthawks organization that they want to recognize those sacrifices and honor these courageous men and women. The outpouring of support and generosity is a true testament to how much they care for our veterans. It is because of community advocates like the Knighthawks that we are able to continue serving ‘those who have served U.S.'”
On March 25, the Knighthawks and Bandits players will wear special military-themed jerseys, which will be auctioned off with the net proceeds going to the Veterans Outreach Center. The Knighthawks will also donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of special military-themed apparel to the VOC.
“We are honored to work with the VOC and honor all of the men and women who serve,” said Knighthawks Vice President of Sales John Catalano. “This event has grown bigger each year and we are looking forward to another great event.”
