The Rochester Vice President of Sales is one of 3 league honorees.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The National Lacrosse League announced its top three executives and Rochester’s John Catalano was among the honorees. Along with Catalano, the league also named New England’s Amber Cox and Georgia’s Andy Arlotta as finalists for the NLL Executive of the Year award.
During the 2017 season, the Knighthawks Vice President of Sales met and exceeded his sponsorship sales goal, while also running game presentation.
From a financial standpoint, the Knighthawks surpassed their total sales goal by over $124,000. The Knighthawks also signed six new sponsors this season, including Bill Grays, Diamond Packaging, Deep Eddy Vodka, Farmer’s Insurance, Wilkins RV, and Buckmans Car Wash.
On the game presentation side, Catalano introduced the new pregame light show feature. The Knighthawks were the first NLL team to utilize the app, which enhanced the Knighthawks’ pregame introductions by utilizing their fans mobile phones.
Catalano, with the help of Avery Light (marketing) and Charlie Ragusa (digital media), also hosted the most successful Military Appreciation Night in team history. This season, the jersey auction raised a record $17,500 for the Veterans Outreach Center of Rochester.
