Jake McNabb agrees to a 2-year contract with Rochester.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Knighthawks General Manager and Vice President of Lacrosse Operations Dan Carey announced on Friday that the team has agreed to terms with forward Jake McNabb on a two-year contract, pending league approval.

McNabb, 23, appeared in two games with the Colorado Mammoth during the 2019-20 season, scoring two goals and adding three assists for five points. He also recorded 27 points (13+14) in five games for the Oshawa Outlaws of the Arena Lacrosse League, finishing sixth on the team in scoring and earning All-Rookie Team honors for the 2020 season.

A native of Owen Sound, ONT., McNabb played his collegiate lacrosse at Onondaga College, where he amassed 51 points (35+16) in 29 career games while helping the Blazers to back-to-back undefeated seasons and a pair of NJCAA National Championships. He appeared in 14 of the team’s 15 games in 2017 and scored the game-winning goal in the National Championship game, the first of three straight NJCAA titles for the Lazers.

Additionally, the 5-foot-10, 170-pound forward is a three-time provincial champion and Minto Cup winner, having totaled 342 points (183+159) over 107 Junior ‘A’ games with Owen Sound, Six Nations and St. Catharines. He registered 50 points (29+21) in 25 postseason appearances, including a 34-point effort during the 2019 playoffs.

McNabb was originally drafted in the second round (31st overall) by the Colorado Mammoth in the 2019 NLL Entry Draft.
